I don’t think this is an coincidence.
You have not done anything wrong. He called you again, after your QSO
was complete. He should have watched what was going on, and prevented
that from happening. Auto-Seq is an operating aid, but it is not an
operator replacement. Humans are supposed to be in charge and using
common sense.
Possibly the Auto-Seq logic (at his end) misinterpreted something.
Using nonstandard callsigns with any of the WSJT-X structured messages
is a compromise, at best. We do not recommend it, in general.
