You have not done anything wrong. He called you again, after your QSO was complete. He should have watched what was going on, and prevented that from happening. Auto-Seq is an operating aid, but it is not an operator replacement. Humans are supposed to be in charge and using common sense.

Possibly the Auto-Seq logic (at his end) misinterpreted something. Using nonstandard callsigns with any of the WSJT-X structured messages is a compromise, at best. We do not recommend it, in general.
