Hello All,

The process (as written below in your email), and as of release WSJT-X v2.0.0,
will no longer be valid as Trusty is problematic on multiple fronts. If you
want to use my PPA in this manner on Debian, use the following (note the
change(s):
wsjtx-next => wsjtx
trusty => xenial

For Buster:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ki7mt/wsjtx/ubuntu bionic main

For Stretch:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ki7mt/wsjtx/ubuntu xenial main

Then follow the rest of the process.

Ubuntu 16.04 thru 17.10 were based from Stretch/sid. Ubuntu 18.04 was based
from Buster/sid. To find the version of Debian a given Ubuntu distribution was
based on, type the following in a terminal:

cat /etc/debian_version

Obviously, this applies to Ubuntu flavors and would be of little help to a
native Debian installation, but, the reciprocal is what's important here. The
results align with the PPA you should use for the version of Debian you are
running.

Helping someone who uses Ki7mt's..
https://launchpad.net/~ki7mt/+archive/ubuntu/wsjtx

But he hasn't included 2.0 yet.
Any sugestions?

This was the proc:

sudo apt-get install dirmngr
sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 862549F9

sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
Tack this on:
# -----
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ki7mt/wsjtx-next/ubuntu trusty main #

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install

Hi Rich,

I've compiled all WSJT-X 2.0.0 RC's and the general release without a hitch --
and confirmed the process on a couple fresh Debian stretch machines also.
Works great.

What kind of issues are you running into?
