Mike,I share your concern about your compound call sign.  Just replied to Phil
- F5??? about his compound call receive problem.  [please see that response -
too lazy to retype the details]  We all share ... and many in the FT8 world
share the programming issue of ver2 not including your grid when sending or
receiving a compound call sign.
Sooner or later anyone who works a station like us or a DXpedition using a
compound call will experience some problems ... either logging issues - missing
data ... wrong DXCC - upload issues, etc.I am guessing your logging issues
relate to that shortfall and the mis-IDs ... and the grid missing.

{}--> As a KH6 who operates most of the time in W1, I use a W1/ prefix in FT8,
otherwise I show up (incorrectly) in the scrolling list of stations as
“Hawaii”. Even though I specify my call as W1/KH6HZ, at least 20% of my
contacts are not logged, the W1 gets dropped by the remote station, so I get
tons of automated rejections when remote stations upload their logbooks and try
to match kh6hz against w1/kh6hz. I will not confirm a contact w/o the w1
qualifier unless I’m at my home qth on Oahu.   It seems 90%+ of the time I call
CQ and have someone answer, the exchange gets logged correctly (I’ve never been
able to figure out why it happens the other 10% of the time). If someone else
calls CQ and I click on to respond, then my call isn’t prefixed with W1, and
these exchanges are almost 90% of the time logged incorrectly. I wish FT8 would
use my whole callsign in each portion of the exchange, rather than using the
full call in parts if it.   _______________________________________________
