You probably don't want to do Fox/Hound for a special event. It's really designed for DXExpeditions. You're more likely to get people calling you if you just stick to the normal bands and procedure since nobody will know you are on the air in some other place. de Mike W9MDB

It seems that whenever I try to reply to someone I cease to be able to see them in the stations calling window, but are moved to the Tab 3 list (which I understand is the queue window – and is expected) then as soon as I call them the first time they disappear from the queue, I see me call them in the RX Frequency window but they don’t QSY and I cant see them any more. I have never had a real opportunity to use Fox and Hound mode before so haven’t been able to familiarise myself with it very well but this behaviour with a non standard callsign doesn’t appear to follow the manual. Needless to say I ahve to fairly quickly give up because I am not completing any QSOs. Is this just people not switching to Fox and Hound mode on the other end or is something else going on? Does anyone have any ideas?
