I have been using WSJT-X with my Yaesu FTDX3000 since a month or so before FT8
was introduced. I have used the FTDX5000 rig using COM4 for CAT control and PTT
was via RTS on COM3. Yesterday I noticed that there was newer firmware
available than what I currently had installed. I updated the firmware and after
getting all menu settings back to my normal configuration, I fired up WSJT-X
and the PTT doesn't seem to work any more. I also noticed at this time that
there was an FTDX3000 rig selection which I tried and no luck. I then tried
FLDIGI for which I also use hamlib rig control and the Hardware PTT Tab for the
second COM port and low and behold it still works.

Does anyone know why Hardware PTT on an alternate COM port would stop working
only in WSJT-X? Is this perhaps a question for the Hamlib reflector? Or should
I send something to the Yaesu people?

I updated the Main Firmware from V01-21 to V01-23 and the TFT Firmware from
V01-09 to V02-02. DSP Firmware is V05-55 and didn't need to be updated.

I have the PTT working via CAT commands, but would prefer getting it to work
via hardware as that is more reliable. I am running WSJT-X v2.0.1 on a Windows
10 Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.648) machine using the USB interface and the 2
Virtual COM ports and the USB soundcard that were all installed properly when I
got the rig back in 2017.
