Perhaps some of you have deeper USB knowledge, and can shed a light on
what's _really_ going on?
Thanks to those who have responded, both on the list and in private.
It seems this is a well-known issue with USB, and since we kind-of
solved it by rearranging hubs and ports, we're good..
It might be interesting to get a better understanding of the problem,
so I might see if I can trigger one of our telematics students to do
a more thorough measurement and protocol analysis....
