Hi all.
First of all, English is not my native or primary language, I would not
like to seem not polite or rude. I am not.
So a BIG thanks to the whole development team, great work, but you all
know how much more work would be needed. Anyway, the modulation and
messages schema is good.
Also the idea to leave mixable contest and non contest modes, that's not
a silly point. It's an attempt to automate configuration on the fly?
What I have seen after some operation is:
- Each time I get out from File>Setup with [OK] wstjt-x reset mode to FT
and change frequency on the radio 7047 >>> 7074, that toy is a IC7610 BTW.
- Over 3 dozens of QSO done, 40m tonight - thanks to all, almost two
went lost even having a big RX signal from the other side ... but DT >
0.4 and some apparently drift of the signal, almost ~6/8 Hz stepped 1/2
Hz - let me be silly: tight AFC?
- Inside the log sub window, maybe due to contesting setup of
correspondents, the [OK] exchanged suddenly position with [cancel]...
better to have automated log, isn't?
- the Band Activity window scroll call as it like, shows almost half
line of the first call line and then some more, forcing manually back/up
show some more usefull ... five 5 s are 5 s
- the Band Activity window keep redrawing only current/last_period RXed
lines - no matter about setup picks - really not that useful for
contesting ...~no cluster/bandmap/call_on_waterfall, no received call
table, no multiplier table, nothing, we will get lost after hour of
heavy work
- other visual/operative behavior may have to do with my subjective
view- I wish to keep all those for myself, not all that is repeatable I
suspect.
DT seems not afflict it all that heavy, I have seen - recognized - at
worst DT -0,4 .it maybe that drifting is worse.
Out of the great, pretty fast, well known and steady QSO schema, I
wouldn't try to have 44 hours out of 48 of Contest with it on a single
radio and this.I would not have opted for a start-when-you wont schema:
never. Time is a part of the messaging technique, why not use that to
have perfect slices?
I didn't saved that much but in any case my all.txt is here.
BTW it will be much better having files created using a named contest
schema, select a contest create a subdir and place there all the stuff
...And a way to recover more simply that dreaded Cabrillo or ADI from
the base log ... all that for a some more user driven environment. I
know that it is dangerous :-{
Again thanks for the efforts, you and several of us will never regret to
play with the results! Personally I care.
