I built the stuff myself with theĀ  same issues. So it would be appreciated if the branch was available for building/testing (and no redis)

Hi Roeland,

as I said to Chris, the full sources of WSJT-X v2.1.0 RC5 and the Hamlib snapshot it was built with are available from the project web site and the Source Forge files area. Not only that but they are contained with a special CMake project that is designed to simplify self-building on *nix systems as documented in the included INSTALL documentation file. You do not need the full source repository to build WSJT-X from sources, it is easier to start with the provided source tarball.

With respect to your two specific issues, unexpected switching of the audio devices is often due to RFI or intermittent USB cable connections. USB audio devices are "hot-pluggable" and any change in configuration can cause the audio system to spontaneously switch to another device.

The runaway Tx watchdog timer is user configurable and can be disabled if desired, controls are on the "Settings->General" panel.
