You have to reset your frequencies....
File/Settings/Frequencies -- right-click in the frequency list and "Reset".

I started the program and I guess by defaukt it was in FT-8 mode so changed it
to FT-4 and the Freq box changed to RED etc. But I can not find a way to
change the freq. the Band pull down menu thing won't even pull down, it's stuck
on only 40 meters.
