(I re-posted this from the correct email address.)

I participated in the FT4 mock contest a bit today and made 68 contacts.
Most QSOs went quickly and smoothly. I have some feedback and questions.

Sometimes when I was between QSOs I enabled "Best S+P". This is a handy
feature.

[1] Can "Best S+P" be made sticky? (A checkbox.) I found it annoying that
I had to enable it over and over again.

As it should, "Best S+P" would select a strong signal, setup a response to
it and begin answering. The other party would respond and the next thing I
knew there would be a logging dialog waiting for my approval. Occasionally
there would be an "Invalid QSO Data" error. Only then would I realize that
the other party was not setup for the Roundup and had failed to send the
proper exchange.

[2] I have yet to participate in a RTTY Roundup (but will with the next
one). This question is for those more familiar with contesting and that
contest in particular. I assume that I cannot fix the exchange by 'making
up' a signal report and entering it in the logging dialog. In other words,
in the absence of a complete exchange, the QSO is incomplete and must be
thrown into the bit bucket. Is that correct?

Occasionally I would double-click on an entry in the Band Activity pane and
later realize that, as above, the other person was not participating in the
RU. That, of course, is my fault. The final question refers to when the
program selects the entry.

[3] When using "Best S+P", is there any way to filter out calls that are not
compliant with the contest?

Thanks,

David, AK2L
