In the device manager you can see both Recording and playback devices and other sound software like 'Audacity' shows both the in and out USB Audio codecs that go to his 9700, just not in WSJT-X which only shows the output device. He has tried WSJT-X 2.01 and at my request WSJT-X 1.91 both with the same result.
