Mike:
I'm getting 100 Watts from my IC-718 without any ALC deflection, if I
choose to run at the full 100 Watts.  The 718 and the 706 are from the same
era of ICOM design, so the fact that you're only able to get to 90 Watts
without deflection surprises me. I'll have to de-mothball my 706 and see
how it behaves.
