Thanks Saku. I understand the work-around and use various versions myself. My point is WSJT-X should allow "non-standard" call signs. Those non-standard calls are only non-standard for WSJT-X and A-OK for the rest of the ham radio world. Many DXpeditions have similar problems as does almost any station signing /something or something/.
My standard set-up shows W4/AH6FX which does not show grid ... but it does show USA in the scrolling list in the Band Activity portion. If I set-up AH6FX/W4 using my grid FM18 ... my DXCC entity shows Hawaii - not Virginia or USA. Can't win ... some contacts gripe about no grid ... and when configured the other way they gripe about Hawaii. No problems tho when I operate from Hawaii but in Virginia most of the time. For every now and then he sends free text message like "F5MYK/MM OJ12". It is easy to follow that way and also easy to implement to companion programs like I did to Cqrlog wsjtx-monitor. If first word of free text is same as set in followed callsing and the second word is true 4chr locator then free text is captured for easier finding from all decoded messages. Several rare open sea grids already worked here... -- Saku OH1KH _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
