your starting point is to download the latest WSJT-X sources tarball
from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/wsjt/files/wsjtx-2.1.2/
When you unpack that you will find instructions to build in the file
INSTALL, including some help on which distribution packages you need to
install for dependencies like Qt. Read the whole file and then make sure
you follow the right part of the instructions for your operating system.
Although the source tarball is not designed as a jumping off point to
make source changes, it can be done reasonable easily. Your first step
should be to successfully build the package without any changes.

Hi Al,
every desktop distribution of Linux I know of has the Qt libraries
and
headers as packages in their repositories. Is there a specific reason
why you want to install Qt via some other means?
