the problems with the "Settings->Reporting->Start new period at top"
option in WSJT-X v2.2.0 RC1 are known, and fixed for the next release.

When ticking “Blank line between decoding periods” (and “Start new
period decodes at top” is unticked), there is no separation line
anymore in the Band Activity window (when decoding FT8 for example).
My apologies if this is a dupe report ..
