Don’t know if will help, but running some checks on my setup (an ANAN SDR, running Thetis and using HamLib TS2000, with CAT PTT) gave me the following.
If WSJTx mode is set to Data/Pkt, my radio will not work correctly when set to data mode. Clicking WSJTx tune sometimes triggers PTT, usually without tx, sometimes not at all. Sometimes the WSJTx rig control error window is triggered. It varies depending upon what settings are, and were previously, set for both WSJTx and the radio. My radio will work as expected when WSJTx mode is set to None, even if my radio mode is data, i.e clicking WSJTx tune will cause PTT and tx. Setting both WSJTx mode, and split operation, to None when the radio is in split mode, however, can cause WSJTx simplex/rig control error window back and forth cycling. My radio will work as expected when WSJTx mode is set to USB, i.e clicking WSJTx tune will cause PTT and tx. However, the radio mode will be set to usb, which is not as desirable operationally as the rado's data mode. Subject to the above, WSJTx split operation works as expected for None, Rig and Fake It. Running WSJTx mode in None and split operation in Rig currently seems best for me. BTW, setting the radio’s tx filter to 600Hz works well with split also - wish it were a deviation type filter so I could tighten it more.
