Hi Bill, thanks... I did not see any over/underruns in VAC, but warnings in the VAC log did prompt me to change an interrupt timing setting, and I have not see the problem since. Although, it was not easy to catch in any event.
Since I could work around my PTT issue, I have been able to use RC1 on the air. I said previously that decodes were up 40%, but I'm seeing more like double in some cases. My best so far was 59 on 14074, in 3khz bw with only a wire antenna. Today we had some 6 meter propagation to Eu, and tho I did not manage any 2 ways, I had as many as 14 decodes from Eu in a cycle, again with a very simple antenna. This was a good test and I'm hoping for testing by more 6m ops as the season heats up. My 2 cents on the early decodes is, it's a great idea. It allows some time to think before clicking. I get startled when the Tx does not instantly kick off, but I am getting used to it.
