Please excuse my imprecision. The attached picture is displayed when trying to run the usual way, decoding signals on the air. But when calling jt9 with a wav file as argument, then jt9 decodes as expected.

I have just tried gdb with "set follow-fork-mode child". Here is the interesting part of the output:
