After 22 months and 17,000(+) Q's, I have 2 suggestions for WSJT-X, both
which I believe will be simple to implement.
- Twice now I've accidentally left tune ON and left the room! If tune
was limited to 15 seconds or so, this could never happen again. Better
yet, make it possible for the user to optionally set his/her maximum
tune time.
- I generally operate with the menus OFF. Changing modes back and forth
from FT8 & FT4 takes a number of clicks. A nice shortcut would be
allowing the 2nd block from the lower left to also be used for changing
modes.
Other than these minor suggestions, the program is sensational. Better
yet, after losing most of my hearing and being off the air for 21+
years, WSJT-X allowed me to return to ham radio!
