I have experienced a problem with WSJT-X (64 bit) version 2.3 while
operating FST4 on 630 meters. I never experienced this same problem while
running JT-9 on earlier versions of WSJT.
I'm running Windows 7 on a Dell Optiplex 790. The rig is a Kenwood TS-2000,
homebrew transverter, and an interface that uses TX audio from the computer
to key the radio. Therefore, VOX is selected in the RADIO configuration menu
under SETTINGS. My problem may not be present using DTR or DSR keying.
Everything initially works fine, but after the program has been running for
a while, and then clicking on the TUNE tab, the transmitter keys normally,
but does not want to unkey by clicking on the TUNE tab again. The TX audio
from the computer will stop for several milliseconds but then start again
keeping the transmitter keyed. Clicking on the TUNE tab repeatedly will
eventually stop the tone and unkey the radio. The TUNE tab stays highlighted
in red until the tone quits. Sometimes while clicking on TUNE to unkey the
radio, the TX tone from the computer will generate a second tone or a tone
on a different frequency. This problem seems to get worst the longer the
program runs and how many times you key the radio using the TUNE tab.
Other than that, version 2.3 has run slick as a whistle running FST4. I have
not tried other modes or bands other that 630 meters.
