Hi Claude, Bill and all, I followed your suggestion on setting up audio devices and I solved the problem. On Ubuntu 18.04 WSJTX 2.2.1 works fine with "default" audio devices but not on Ubuntu 20.04 even if the reception works. In my case I set "alsa_input.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo" for input and "alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo" for output and the problem is solved. So I installed and tested WSJTX 2.2.2 and WSJTX 2.3.0-rc1 and both worked fine. Thank you very much for the great help. 73 to all.
