Can also be something like HDMI video circuit in a laptop going to sleep after 
startup, even if you are not using the external connector.  Found that last 
year on my new laptop.

Hi OM,

have you disabled the Windows power saving options for your USB hub devices and 
for the USB subsystem?

That message is a new one designed to highlight systems that may be unable to 
provide a continuous stream of audio to WSJT-X. There can be many causes from 
selective device suspensions to periods of high system load. Another cause can 
be time synchronization events by SNTP type synchronization type utilities. 
What time sync software are you using?
