Hey David,

Have you tried taking audio directly from your Mac’s headphone jack?

I run a Mac mini using just the headphone and mic jacks which are built in.
I’ve also used a small USB/audio dongle successfully.

Try changing your prefs and see if you hear audio on the headphones when you
ask wsjt to transmit.

Another way to check audio on the mac's output which I use:

        open a web browser
        use the Mac as a tone generator:
https://www.szynalski.com/tone-generator/
<https://www.szynalski.com/tone-generator/>
        you can verify audio output by listening with headphones
        when you’ve verified audio output, feed it to the transceiver and
adjust your mic and power

Good luck.

73, Ed
