The only evidence for that is the fact that WSJT-X on an M1 Mac fails with a shared memory error and has no problems on an Intel Mac. I now have a report from a VK about a memory error on another M1 Mac. I have checked the sysctl.conf file on the M1 Mac by asking for a hexdump of /etc/sysctl.conf. It is not corrupted. On the M1 Mac what is shown with sysctl -a | grep kern.sysv after a reboot is the usual default setting. — John G4KLA
