Hi Mike, Same effect here: Win10, WSJT-X v2.3.0-rc2, IC-7300 (direct USB).
Observed when using direct control of IC-7300, and also through ‘flrig’. My hunch (scant evidence) is when another application changes its use of an Audio device (e.g. video conference starts/stops), WSJT-X loses its link to the audio. I have also observed a few cases where the running audio device changes to ‘Not Found’ in the WSJT-X Settings|Audio panel. Generally I Restart WSJT-X because it is cleaner; but toggling also works. I can toggle the playback audio device and it comes back....or a restart of WSJT-X works. So it appears that it is losing the connection to the playback audio device without giving an error.
