Bill and Joe: I noticed that WSJT-X informed me to "switch to the RTTY RU" mode in the Advanced settings when it detected "RU" in the CQ message when I was monitoring the frequencies the FT Roundup contest is using this weekend.
I, like many others, don't bother to switch out the wsjtx_log.adi file when contesting, so all QSO's are logged to the same file. However, the only differentiator I have to detect different log entries between regular QSOs and Contest QSOs is the addition of the <state:xx> field and the serial number in the RST field. However, this may easily be confused with the Field Day or other entries. I looked up the ADIF 3.1.1 log format and saw there is a Contest-ID field provided. Would it be feasible to enhance WSJT-X to add this field in for the Field Day, FT8 Roundup, NA/EU VHF, WW Digi, etc. contests when those modes are selected in the WSJT-X Advanced Preferences?
