I changed the text message in Tx6 by adding a call prefix so it became
"CQ JA..."
Worked OK until I tried to change it back to just "CQ" - then the change
wouldn't stick. It kept reverting to "CQ JA" several times, but
eventually it did hold.
Not sure what happened, but I may have been a bit quick and initially
changed it at the tail end of a TX slot. Haven't been able to replicate
it in subsequent testing but just mentioning it as something clearly got
tangled up.
In trying to replicate that I also managed to transmit "CQ J..." when
the code obviously read the message while I was in the middle of typing JA!
Incidentally while I was being received in JA no QSO resulted from the
above messing about - band opening closed!
