For the Virginia QSO Party (VQP) this past weekend I wanted to use the WSJT-X FT4 and FT8 modes to work a number of DX QSOs. Since none of the special activities supported by WSJT-X matched the VQP requirements, I had to improvise. I stored  "CUL VQP 73" as a Tx5 macro. "CUL" is my VA county abbreviation. When a station answered my "CQ DX", I used the Tx5 pulldown menu to select the stored message and prepended a 3 digit QSO number. When the QSO was completed. in order to store the QSO number sent and county number, I entered them in the WSJT-X "Log QSO" window. The "CUL" county was stored in the "Tx power"  field with the "Retain" option checked so the county abbreviation wouldn't have to be entered for each QSO.  The QSO number was entered into the "Comments" field. All of the required data for each QSO was successfully stored in the comma delimited "wsjtx.log" file.

I would like to submit my VQP log of digital QSOs to the VQP sponsor as a Cabrillo file but can't find a way to do so. A ".cbr" file can only be exported for one of the WSJT-X "Special Activities" options.

My question is, when the WSJT-X "Export Cabrillo Log" option is selected, what file is used to create the CBR file? Presently when I run this option, all I get is the header information based on information entered in the window that pops up before the otherwise empty CBR file is created.

I'd like to create a Cabrillo using WSJT-X non-contest data. Is that possible?

Hi Rich,

the WSJT-X Cabrillo entry file creation is from a database table, that table is basically what is displayed in the contest log window. It is unrelated to the WSJT-X ADIF log file.
