Hi Marty,
Actually the 7 second transmit time is
correct for FT4....
If you transmit even, you will be
transmitting at 0 seconds, 15 seconds,
30 seconds, and 45 seconds.
If you transmit odd then you will be
transmitting at 7 seconds, 22 seconds,
37 seconds and 52 seconds.....
I have never seen a 7 second transmit on FT8
