Thanks for all the (fast) replies. That got me going…

What did I do :

Upgraded N1MM to the latest June 21 version.

Set 244.0.0.1 and 2237 in all applications.

That did not work yet.

In WSJT it is needed to select “Ethernet_32769, loopback_0” as outgoing
interface. (32769 probably PC specific)

That surprised me a bit, given the fact all UDP traffic is internal.

May I suggest including this in the user guide.

Anyway, it all works OK now.

Hi,

Actually WSJT-X has no problem with multiple programs receiving/receiving UDP
messages.

All the programs must be configured for Multicast. See sec 4.5 in user guide.

GridTracker can do that, N1MM is a question mark.

I don't use N1MM logging but GridTracker has a feature that can forwards UDP
packets to other programs. It's not bidirectional. Many users of my Android
app (WSJT-X Monitor) use this feature.

Another alternative is a simple Python script. Contact me directly if I can
help.

Hi all,

On VHF WSJT is widely used with both N1MM logging software and Gridtracker.

Separately both programs are working fine with WSJT, using the UDP server.

However, using BOTH programs at the same time is not possible, because both
need to send UDP messages back and forth.

WSJT can handle only one program at the time.

Using both programs at the same time offers various operational advantages,
among others:

* N1MM provides a very nice decode list, with click-and-qso capabilities,
allowing a very quick response to cq-ing stations in WSJT.
* Gridtracker indicates (not-)worked squares/DX based on the ones
detected by WSJT and provides a nice overview where you are being heard
(indication of propagation/activity)

At Settings / Reporting in WSJT there are two UDP servers. However one of those
is “depreciated”.

Request :

Could this “depreciated UDP server” be upgraded to a full UDP server, allowing
a different IP and port then the other one.

That would allow WSJT to have a simultaneous UDP connection with N1MM and
Gridtracker (or any other program besides the popular N1MM).

If there are other possibilities to achieve the same program cooperation, that
would be fine as well.

(in case it is already possible a clear description in the manual would be much
appreciated)
