What are the permissions on /tmp ?
Can you do this as a regular user?
touch /tmp/test.txt
And also
touch /tmp/WSJT-X.lock

From the very first install of WSJT-X on my Linux laptop, I always noticed
the impossibility to remove the lock file created into the system /tmp
directory by the program itself. In order to be able to remove it, I have to
use the Linux "rm" command from the console prompt.

Why this removing feature apparently available in WSJT-X program is not yet
working?

 Thanks!
