On Linux WSJT-X will use the installed hamlib-4 shared library. It's independent of WSJT-X but should be a dependency during the install of WSJT-X.
Linux is quite different from Windows in this respect. With Windows the shared library comes with the WJST-X installation. You can have multiple installations of WSJT-X and each can use a different DLL. With Linux it is separate.
