For future reference Marco, you can change the line endings using:
dos2unix <filename>
Not sure if you have that command, but on Fedora it comes in the
dos2unix rpm package.

I do have such command in my openSUSE TW and I attempted in several
ways, in order to avoid the "hunk error" but,
as I wrote, only by applying the patch by hand, a file at time, I have
been able to resolve the problem.
