Good morning, I heard this DX expedition yesterday on 7.056 KHz, I finally had the thrill of listening the typical Superfox modulation.
I tried about 30 minutes to connect them without success, but this could be due my location/propagation condition, then I will try again on the other bands. Regarding the issues reported by Charlie, one of the features of Superfox there is the authentication hash signature of the Fox callsign, which is being displayed by WSJTX at decoding, then I think very hard for a pirate station, to get this digital signature (or at least I hope). And for the Windows Defender behavior, often happened cases of false positive related to viruses, malwares and so on, should be good to do a double check, prior to classify something as "dangerous". Most of the gear is already out on the island. We hope to have some radios operational later today if all goes smoothly. So they could very well be on air already. Easy QSO a few minutes ago. Looking to see if I am 'in their log' using what I thin is their website at https://t-rexsoftware.com/cy9c/ (this was obtained from a link on DX World.net) I immediately had WIndows Defender, or something that was pretending to be WIndows Defender pop up and could not close the windows. Powered off the PC brutally and now running a virus scan and disconnected PC from the internet. They are also apparently using Club Log. Don't know how often they are uploading, but I and two other stations that they sent RR73 to are not currently in the log. 73 Charlie DL3WDG _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
