I installed the pre-made deb packages from the wsjtx website. I am seeing these only when using a remote station - not with a local station. The remote station is set up using WebRadioControl as per [1] and [2]. In brief, the audio flows through a web browser and a pulseaudio loopback pipe. Rig control is via a hamlib proxy provided by the WRC authors. I have only noticed these segmentation faults when transmit is enabled - I am not sure (I tend to flip back and forth between programs) but it is therefore likely to assume that the issue is specific to the TX path. It is not something I can reproduce on demand, but my suspicion is it is a bug triggered when there's some sort of sadness happening on the audio path between wsjtx and the remote radio. (I suspect audio rather than rig control because I have seen the latter relatively often and it pops up the "Rig Control Error" dialog. The most recent time this occurred, I captured a core dump. Unfortunately, the deb that I installed does not include debugging symbols, so the backtrace is rather unhelpful (see below). Also unfortunately, my C programming days are pretty far behind me, and my gdb skills have rusted enough over the intervening decade that I can't debug on my own. I'm happy to work with someone to try to examine the dump, or install debugging symbols if y'all have them. Otherwise, I can try to find time to compile locally, with the appropriate symbols, though this may take a bit. Cheers!
