Alex, You have a great point. This all does raise the annoying question: Why is this a problem just now? Was there a bug with some other operating system, whether Linux, Windows, or earlier macOS that required this line of code? It was added in 2020, after all. Perhaps there was a bug in earlier macOS versions that finally just got fixed in Sequoia. Or, maybe, there is a new bug in Sequoia. Or, maybe something entirely unrelated.
