I've consulted with my HAM contacts, as well as done a lot of testing. Summary: Using Linux or Windows, my IC-705 will not switch to the 30m band in WSJTX. I've also tried WSJTX-improved, with the latest Hamlib and it has the same behavior. When I switch to the 30m band, the USB Dial Frequency display goes Red, and reports 0.106 000. The Operating band selector goes Red and shows 00B. The rig also shows 0.106 000 I can start to transmit, but as soon as it goes Red, the TX indicator on my IC-705 does not engage, and it has a dotted line around it instead. I also tried emulating the IC-7300 by changing the CI-V address to 94h, and changing to it in WSJTX. Same result. I tried JTDX and it works completely fine. I can select and transmit on 30m no problem. So it seems to be an issue with WSJTX, and not my rig. I took some videos to illustrate. Hopefully they help.
