Sounds more like you upgrade machine is getting RF feedback. Software lockups
are often the case in these instances.

Subject: [wsjt-devel] macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 and WSJT-X 2.7.0-rc7

Upgraded my machine last week and got back on the air for the first time in a
long while last night, was surprised the version I was running was still
current but quickly found the "lost audio after transmit" bug that I found
mentioned on this list. So I downloaded
2.7.0-rc7 and found that problem went away. A few times, however, I had
another strange issue; for example, after a QSO another station called me, and
when I manually changed my transmit to match them and double clicked, I went
through a transmit cycle. When that cycle ended, the program never shifted
back to receive mode - the waterfall was frozen and nothing else was moving.
During the next transmit cycle the radio transmitted again, but still no
movement on the rest of the program from that point. I tried to quit and found
the application didn't disappear from the dock, and had to be force quit to go
away so I could restart it. When I did restart it contined on like normal and
I made that second QSO. At the end of that it happened again when another
station called me and I moved frequency to match them and double clicked to
reply.

Happy to gather whatever data would be useful if this isn't enough to go on,
and I'll try to take better notes of my operation next time to build a more
complete timeline of actions that led to the hang.
