Uwe, May I give an example how false information spreads wide, and corrections are difficult (nobody yet corrected Wikipedia). Google how Pierce crystal oscillator is assumed to work, and you'll see only one of ten describe it correctly. The same inaccurate or wrong description is repeated by many professors and other experts. I have no idea how the F tol surfaced.
