Hi, for reception you do not need a virtual cable at all. At least in Windows 
just select the same USB Codec for both or multiple instances of wsjt-x or 
other programs. How to run multiple instances of wsjt-x parallel see user guide 
17. Frequently Asked Questions second item. Your may modify the wsjt-x shortcut 
to e.g. 
C:\WSJT\wsjtx2.7.0-rc8\bin\wsjtx.exe --rig-name=Test and wsjt-x will prepare a 
new log directory for you to keep the instances independent. 

You may try to use a narrower receiver bandwidth to attenuate strong 
interferences. A narrow filter will provide a better S/N indication, but does 
not provide a better decoding sensitivity unless e.g. AGC otherwise reduce RF 
gain too much due to other stations.
