To provide ongoing support and quality improvements to our
1.0.x line, WTP will be producing a second maintenance pack numbered “1.0.2”,
initially targeted for April 21st, 2006. The usual maintenance
release rules will apply (no API changes, no non-trivial UI changes) and the
focus will be on high priority issues that block use or adoption of WTP.
Adopters requesting fixes should be prepared to explain the “stop ship”
criticality for any proposed “hotlist” entry. Because the 1.0.2 release will occur in parallel with WTP
1.5 and to minimize risk, only critical
fixes should go into 1.0.2; all normal development work, including non-blocking
