Here's the announcement I just posted on the newsgroup .... To repeat what I said in yesterday's status meeting, I really do thank all you committers for your tireless efforts on this release .... I think it's turned out quite well, a release we should all be proud of.

This release provides many new features along with improved quality, adopter readiness, and harmony with other Eclipse projects. Web Developers will be particularly pleased with the debut of major new features and updates supporting Java EE 5 projects, EJB 3.0, JPA, JSP 2.0, JSF 1.2, Axis2 Web Services, improved Server tooling, and improved editing.
