Hi Hristo, You might want to look into the extension point org.eclipse.ui.navigator.navigatorContent in the plugin org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.navigator.ui, also look at the various Item Providers classes such as WebAppItemProvider .

Originaly in this tree have group nodes: Filter Mapping, Filters, Listener, References, Security, Servlet Mappings and Servlets. So, first I'm wondering is it possible these group nodes to become more dynamic. E.g. when they are empty to be removed from the tree, and to appear when first child node is added.
