Maybe others have different opinions on that but I think developers
nowadays are used to check something out and just run "maven clean
install". Feedback is obviously welcome.
I personally prefer to have Eclipse config files checked in, so I don't
have to install M2E into my dev environment, which in case of large
workspaces tends to be slow. I don't see much benefit of using M2E for
plugin projects either - dependencies are coming through PDE anyway.
