Thanks Nitin, I'll open a bugzilla to track the NPE in the CXF client generation but I have no time to look at it.
The top-down web service issue wouldn't be specific to CXF and would also affect Axis 2 as well. Do you know if there's already an open issue for that? Also the CXF support in WTP if for version 2.x which is tied to older versions of Java (1.7) so I'm not sure if it's still being used anywhere so it might be time to start looking at deprecating it. It's a source structure used by both Gradle and Maven, and there's little reason for us to continue having a structure unique to our tools other than, "we've always done it this way". https://git.eclipse.org/c/webtools-common/webtools.common.git/commit/?id=77f89af55babf0fd8b09504e362752ebe6d7eccc https://git.eclipse.org/c/sourceediting/webtools.sourceediting.git/commit/?id=1a5c09a104fe93559a550d7ff054b44c0f9637ec https://git.eclipse.org/c/jeetools/webtools.javaee.git/commit/?id=4fbc8f4136ca948afa030f2b742ed371a4dbdeaf On Mon, Feb 1, 2021 at 9:52 AM Shane Clarke <shane_cla...@hotmail.com<mailto:shane_cla...@hotmail.com>> wrote: Hi Guys, Has there been a maven project directory layout introduced for Dynamic Web Projects in the latest builds? I was smoke testing this build against 4.19M1 and a Dynamic Web Project now has a src/main/java and src/main/webapp directories and the WebContent folder is linked to src/main/webapp. Getting NPE when generating a CXF client and "service definition selected is invalid" errors when trying to generate a top-down web service (CXF) with a wsdl file that was copied into the project. Anyone aware of what's changed?
