I admit I too initially thought it was a bit harsh (considering I was the
one that set up github for watir in the first place) but I guess if you
want to contribute code it's very simple to fork and send a pull request
like anyone else would.
It's not as though all access has been revoked (the repo is public), rather
the ability to directly commit (not via pull requests) has been removed.
