selenium-webdriver will have Firefox 17 support in version 2.27, which should be out this week, perhaps today. For the record, watir-webdriver doesn't have any "browser support", it's just a wrapper around selenium-webdriver, so any issues with a specific browser is extremely unlikely to be a problem in this code base.
