After doing everything mentioned in the URL http://watirwebdriver.com/safari/ we are still unable to automate safari browser in windows XP (gems: watir-webdriver 0.6.2 and selenium-webdriver 2.27.2).
It shows the following error: SafariDriver requesting connection at ws://127.0.0.1:3504/wd in the webpage opened. We believed that the error could be because the svn repository we checked out (Selenium Webdriver 2.28.1) to build the extension was not matching with the selenium webdriver gem (2.27.2). Subsequently we were able to find out till 2.27.0 (which comes in svn revision 18300). However still the error persists.
