Thanks for confirming. It was actually that EXACT email that I was referring 
to. I just wasn't sure I had read it right. It's hard to believe that a feature 
would be added in release 1.8.2 and not work for future releases. 

I'll stop trying to access this modal_dialog box now (and beating my head 
against the desk)...instead I'll go track down my sys admin and have them 
uninstall 1.8.5 and reinstall ruby 1.8.2 for me. This will be the third time 
I've had to make this request in the last week. It's becoming embarrassing. 
Soon they'll be asking why I'm using this language. *sigh*. 

But seriously, thanks for confirming.
