All you have to do is look at the code for P and Span and do the same
thing to create a Pre.
It is a couple lines of Ruby.

Summary: get the inner text from a <pre> tag

Im trying to get the text from inside a <pre> tag that is in a
frame. this frame doesn't contain any other HTML but the <pre>
tag and the text in between. like so...
<pre>
some text here...
some text here...
some text here...
some text here...
</pre>
